Continuing in his role as General Secretary, Rev Alex Maulana has been joined by the newly elected members of the Blantyre Synod Management Team. The roles are as follows:
General Secretary - Rev A Maulana
Deputy General Secretary - Rev M Kanjewa
Moderator - Rev R Chinkwezule
Vice Moderator - Rev E Navaya

Rev Kanjerwa has been serving as minister at St Andrews CCAP, Chikwawa; Rev Chinkwezule at Limbe CCAP and Rev Navaya is with Zomba Presbytery.

We wish the new team all the best as we consider the theme of the biennial - 'Abounding in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit, Romans Ch 15 v 13'. We also extend best wishes to the outgoing members of the team in their new responsibilities.

CCAP Blantyre Synod will this year hold its 29th Bi-Ennial Assembly from 25th August to 29th August.  There will be about 600 delegates who will deliberate on crucial issues pertaining to the Synod as well as electing three important Officers on the Synod position as follows:- 

    Synod Moderator
    Deputy Synod Moderator
    Deputy General Secretary

The official opening of the Assembly will take place at St. Columba CCAP Church on 25th August, 2013 from 2.00 p.m. and Rt. Rev. James Tengatenga, Bishop of the Anglican Church will preside over the official opening as Guest of Honour.  From 26th August to 29th August, the meetings will be held at St. Michael and All Angels Multipurpose Hall.
