​This is a department inside the synod office whose main aim is to make sure that quality transport is being offered to the synod management.
Categorised in two sections;

1. Drivers’
2. Mechanics

Composed of nine employees including the two departmental heads.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Controls synod vehicle breakdowns and maintenances’ through the mandate from the HRM’s office·
   
2.  Car hire : The CCAP Synod transport department has vehicles which individuals can rent out on a given charge. If one needs to use one of the synod cars, he/she has to visit the HRM’s office where he can find all conditions necessary for him to use synod cars including charges.
   
3. The synod transport department also undertake issues to do with personal vehicle maintenance. Staff vehicles can only be maintained by synod mechanics only if the vehicle owners have their own fuel and spare parts. And in addition to that a staff whose car needs to be maintained by the synod mechanics, he has to visit the HRM’s office to get a permission on his issue although he has his own fuel and spare parts.
